Biodeck Energy Uganda Ltd. is a renewable energy company based in Kampala, Uganda, specializing in sustainable waste management and clean energy solutions. Founded in 2021, the company designs, installs, and maintains biodigester septic systems for efficient waste management and biogas digester systems that transform animal waste—such as chicken droppings, cow dung, and pig manure—into eco-friendly cooking fuel.

Our solutions cater to diverse clients, including farms, households, schools, hospitals, and other institutions. We also offer professional plumbing services, ensuring the seamless integration of our systems into your existing infrastructure.

We aim to contribute to environmental conservation, improve sanitation, and promote renewable energy across Uganda. At Biodeck Energy, we believe in creating practical, sustainable solutions that enhance livelihoods and protect our planet. 

Company growth

Since its establishment in 2021, Biodeck Energy Uganda Ltd. has steadily grown to become a trusted provider of renewable energy and waste management solutions in Uganda. With a dedicated team of about 10 employees, the company has successfully served a diverse clientele, including households, farms, schools, and hospitals. By offering innovative biodigester septic systems and biogas digester systems powered by animal waste like chicken droppings, cow dung, and pig manure, Biodeck Energy has provided sustainable solutions to waste management and renewable cooking energy. 

Under the leadership of co-founders Lukanga Vianney, a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Makerere University, and Nabisubi Ruth Martha, who holds a Master’s in Geo-information Science and Technology, the company has expanded its reach and expertise. Located in Wakiso, Biodeck Energy has positioned itself as a key player in Uganda’s renewable energy sector, focusing on practical, eco-friendly innovation 

As part of our growth journey, Biodeck Energy successfully qualified for the prestigious ABC (African Bio-Digester Component)/OFVI training, underscoring our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. Our innovative spirit was further recognized through our participation in the Total Energies Startupper of the Year Challenge. This acknowledgment highlights our dedication to driving innovation in wastewater management and clean energy solutions, strengthening our position as a leader in the industry.
